Escape The Nightmare(alpha)

Quite nostalgic and vibey gameplay. Playtime is around 30m - 60m.

My thoughts on the game:

• Pretty nostalgic and vibey.. The soundtrack and general design kind of reminds me of Roblox, Doom, and some other games I played in my childhood.
• Sometimes you have to "Juke" the enemy, some players will not be able to do that, or figure it out. Example would be the last skull collecting level.
• I found the second level to be extremely difficult.
• Finding keys is really hard. For example, on the first level it was pretty hard to notice it was in the fireplace area thing in the house, and the one on the bodies took me AGES, I wish it was more clear it was there.
• The monsters are really scary! Constantly jumpscaring me, great job on that!
• Hiding behind the statues is kind of pointless and sometimes does not even work, it's honestly way better to just juke the enemy. Personally though, I would've loved it if the monster actually collided with the statues.

Overall, a great decently long horror game. It is noticeable quite a bit of effort was put into the game and it is pretty fun to play!

This was a cool horror game revolving around the idea that the main character has to clear three levels to uncover the secret behind the three mysterious statues. Even though I did not manage to complete the game as I was stuck at the second level, the one where the player has to collect skulls and not get caught by the monster. The second level of the game really reminded me of a game called Dark Deception except that there wasn't much more things added to help the player like a map of where the skulls are at or just a number telling the player how many skulls he is looking for. The way the monster runs is actually really funny though XD.

The first level was definitely horrifying in its own way where it keeps the player at their toes, worried about whether there will be jumpscares or something strange chasing the player. The spots where the keys are hidden are really clever as well. I took quite abit of time to find the keys. Overall, this was a fun and cool horror game that I enjoyed.
